A Connected Westside

From Main Street West to Dominion Park to the Ocean Vistas & Beaches, West Saint John is poised to be a destination in and of itself. A strategy for economic and recreational development can (is an excellent opportunity to) attract residents and businesses to the area, strengthening our tax base.

With the recent Moosehead development of a beautiful indoor and outdoor Beer Garden on Main Street West, there is a significant opportunity for investment in this up and coming neighbourhood. Main Street West is just a quick walk or bike to Greendale, Milford, Fundy Heights and Manawagonish Road.

The natural beauty of our coastline is a rich network of spaces near and dear to West Siders and deserves protection and care. Many Neighbourhood Associations and Friends are doing important work and understand the needs of their respective communities. Communication between these organizations and the City of Saint John is imperative to the development of the community. Its success would lead to an opportunity to create a recreational network that is one-of-a-kind. 

We need to strengthen our connection with the rest of the City of Saint John to create simple ways to access all we have to offer.
